Classic Music in Historic Venues 2008

As Artists-in-Residence at Glenfern, the Team of Pianists is delighted to present a number of Summer Recitals, not only at Glenfern, but also at Shepparton, the Sapphire Coast, Barwon Park and the Poowong Pioneer Chapel. In this series, there is an emphasis on providing music for family enjoyment. When the weather is fine, families may bring a rug or deck chairs to Glenfern and for a very small payment, enjoy the music through open windows while the children can also have a picnic and play games in the garden. Picnics would also be delightful at Barwon Park on a fine day, and afternoon tea is served in beautiful surroundings on the lawns outside the Pioneer Chapel at Poowong.

The Rigg concerts are made possible by a generous donation from the Cicely and Colin Rigg Bequest. This concert series features solo and chamber music performances presented in historic venues, for families and children as well as concert-goers. The Rigg series is planned and administered by the Team of Pianists and the Victorian College of the Arts.
